Recommended Scheduled Maintenance

Every 3,000 miles (5,000 for Synthetic oil)

• Oil Change – Lubricate; change oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles or every three months, whichever comes first.

Every 6,000 miles

• Suspension – Check C.V. axles and boots with every oil change. Check struts and shocks every 6,000 miles.
• Tires – Rotate, balance, and align every 6,000 miles to increase the life of your tires.

Every 12,000 miles

• Alignment – Align front end (and rear on some cars) each year or every 12,000 miles which ever occurs first.

Every 24,000 miles

• Brake System Flush

Every 30,000 miles

• Brakes – Check every 20,000 miles. Worn shoes and pads will cause damage to drums and rotors.
• Tune-Up – Tune engine every 30,000 miles or according to owner’s manual. Change plugs and check ignition, rotor, fuel filters, and other parts as required.
• Automatic Transmission – Service every 30,000 miles. Change fluid, pan gasket, and fluid filter.
• Exhaust System – (including the catalytic converter) Check every 30,000 miles.
• Transmission Service
• Throttle Body Service
• Replace Anti-Freeze

Every 36,000 – 50,000 miles

• Engine Belt Timing – Replace all between 40,000 and 60,000 miles. A broken timing belt can cause severe engine damage. Check your owner’s manual for recommended mileage.
• Belts and Hoses
• Replace Spark Plugs

Once a Year

• Air Conditioning System – Check and service.
• Cooling System – Pressure test for leaks and check all hoses & test coolant protection.
• Inspect brakes
• Check C/V Boot joints
• Check Exhaust system
• Clean Battery Terminals and test battery

Every Two years

• Replace Anti-freeze
